A really exotic looking member of the hyacinth family which bears long lasting flowers around Christmas time, usually the flowers are coral pink but there are pale yellow forms which are a lot rarer in cultivation. Veltheimia are summer dormant producing glossy green undulating leaves in September followed by flowers in December.

  • Plant bulbs in containers so that the top two thirds protrude from the soil, allow to dry out between watering and feed with low strength, low nitrogen feeds, minimum temperature of five degrees centigrade. 
    Supplied as growing bulbs in 9cm pots.
